Two men are in a bike marathon in Europe. They have been competing for years always trying to out race the other. The man in the lead has won every time in the past but that doesn't make the other man give up. He is determined to win. He would be happy with just this one win. He is pushing himself as fast as he can go. He hears the crowd cheering and he can just see the finish line in the distance. He has got to overtake his opponent. He is petting as fast as he can. He doesn't seem to be making up any distance between the two of them. But he will, he will win if it kills him. He starts to gain distance and just as he crosses the finish line he is one inch in front of his opponent and he wins. He wins by less than a tire length.
